On Thursday American pop star Lady Gaga posted a link via her Twitter page to a nearly two-minute-long video teaser for her upcoming “Marry the Night” video, in support of Born This Way.
Dubbed “The Prelude Pathétique,” the new clip was directed by Mother Monster herself and pays homage to literature like The Bell Jar and Girl, Interrupted, reports MTV.
In the clip, a brunette Gaga lies on a hospital gurney while her inner thoughts serve as a voiceover. "When I look back on my life, it's not that I don't want to see things exactly as they happened," she says in what MTV describes as a “very Prozac Nation-esque" tone. "It's just that I prefer to remember them in an artistic way. And truthfully, the lie of it all is much more honest because I invented it."
“The clip closes with a bit of dark humor,” adds Billboard, “as Gaga ogles a nurse and wishes off-hand that she'd been given gummy bears like a fellow patient.”
Gaga tweeted that the new clip is just part of the full prelude, which she says will be seven-and-a-half minutes -- with the "Marry the Night" official video to follow. (Relaxnews)
